She draws upon a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, which include cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and strength-based therapy, to help her clients understand the power of their thoughts, reactions, and connections and to teach them coping skills. When working with children and teenagers, she uses play, sand-tray, and art therapy to learn about both the child’s struggles and strengths, teach the child coping skills, and help him/her build resiliency. She includes parents in treatment to help them understand the therapy so they can effectively support their children.
