Group Member Quotes

“I found Dr. Tamerin through the DBSA website. This remarkable doctor hosts a group therapy session every Friday afternoon in his home.  There is no charge to attend. Dr. Tamerin himself is a wise, insightful and powerful therapist. The peer support of the group, the honest and open dialogue, and the community this doctor has created are unique. His generosity has made so much possible for so many of us.”

“He gives us individual encouragement but also facilitates the group so that we help each other. He is honest, compassionate, intuitive and so caring about each patient in an authentic way.”

“Dr. Tamerin and this Group have changed our lives. Dr. Tamerin recognizes the need for the mentally ill (and really all people) to connect through their stories. To him, human connection and the sharing in the group of one’s personal story of pain and loss play a critical role in one’s rise to wellness. He engenders confidence that there is power even in the weakest among us and that this power, strength, can be realized through honestly sharing one’s pain.”

“Dr. Tamerin is exceptionally gifted at zeroing in on the most challenging issues and finding a process to navigate through them. He is compassionate with a deep knowledge, a rare combination.”
