The Bridges to Adelphi Program at Adelphi University is located in Garden City, NY. Bridges to Adelphi offers comprehensive, personalized, academic, social and vocational support services to Adelphi University students who self-disclose with neurodiverse diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, or other non-verbal learning disorders. Program coaches and strategists help students develop an individualized plan to reduce procrastination and anxiety and improve time management, organizational, problem-solving and social skills. The program also offers twice-weekly social groups, social activities, and monthly outings. Students are also offered comprehensive vocational services, including standardized vocational assessments, help with resume writing and job interview skills, and internship and job placement services.
